The cost of helping.....
This is a list of costs associated with helping the women and children in our program. Not all participants receive all of the items listed below. The help each person receives is based on a comprehensive analysis of the situation for that particular region and is also based on the expressed need of the host church leader and then is voted on by our Board of Directors. Our ability to fund these needs is fully dependent on donations from people like you!

Trips for training - We take trips to train churches in how to reach out to these victims, how to love them, how to remove the stigma and how to build self esteem. We also train the women with different programs to suit their specific needs. Whenever possible, we try to use local Rwandans to train to save on costs. These trips can cost between $3,000 - $4,000 per person traveling. Job Training - Job training can be in selling clothes, selling charcoal, selling bananas, sewing, raising animals and agriculture. The program will give them training, supplies and a small amount of money to start their business. This is so variable that we can't put a monthly amount on it.
Healthcare - Rwanda has a public healthcare system that is accessible for all citizens. It is called Mutuelle and may be purchased for all family members for $6 per family on a yearly basis. This provides very basic medical care only, no medication for ongoing conditions. School Fees -
Nursery school - $63 Primary government school - $40 Secondary school (High School)- $436 |
